Description

The MSA211 is a Merrytek 24GHz mmWave radar sensor for presence and motion detection, controlled via the Casambi app. Unlike PIR technology, mmWave radar picks up very small movements (someone sitting still at a desk, for example) by measuring reflected radio waves, giving more reliable presence detection than PIR alone in office settings. Mains supply 100–240 VAC 50/60 Hz (220V nominal), very low consumption ≤1 W, working current 50 mA. Presence detection roughly ø5–7 m, motion detection 6–8 m, mounting height 2.5–4.0 m with a 100° detection lobe. Recessed mounting, Ø90×80 mm, Ø75 mm cut-out. Built-in daylight sensor 0–1200 lux. IP20 – dry indoor use only. Operating range 0…+50°C. RED/FCC and RoHS marked. Connects wirelessly to the Casambi Bluetooth mesh for scheduling and grouping with other lighting. When installing, check the mounting height against the specified range (2.5–4.0 m) for correct detection coverage. Suited to offices, meeting rooms and other spaces where reliable presence detection – not just gross motion – is needed for energy-efficient lighting control.
