Retail floor
General lighting is the base, accent lighting is the sale. The contrast between them matters more to the display than the number of lux.
In retail, light is part of the display. What makes a campaign area stand out is not the absolute level but the ratio to its surroundings: three to five times the general lighting goes a long way, and more than that flattens out again.
Colour rendering is the other half. Ra 90 or better over the merchandise, otherwise a garment is sold in one colour and taken home in another.
Opening, day, evening and cleaning on a schedule or a single button.
Campaign areas and window displays are lifted separately from the general lighting.
The colour in the store should be the colour at home.
